Meet Pastor Cara!
Before becoming a pastor, Cara worked in the fields of business and education and earned a B.A. in English literature and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Cara is also an award-winning author with both fiction and non-fiction titles.
While she enjoys teaching and managing teams of people, growing up as a pastor's kid (and working in all areas of the church from worship to kid's ministries), Cara also developed a love of theology and a passion for serving in the church. |
These interests drove her to pursue a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. It was during her time in seminary that her call to pursue pastoral ministry became clear.
In her first pastoral role, Cara served on staff at a large church and oversaw the expansion of that church from a single campus to a multi-site network of churches as they both adopted existing congregations and planted new works.
Now serving as the lead pastor of Bedrock Church, Cara brings her leadership experience and passion for the Word to challenge the Bedrock Church congregation to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and to reach out to the community.
Cara and her husband, David, live in Windsor, WI, where they enjoy spending time with their four children, their spouses, and their grand-dog. Together, Cara and David love to travel, cook, and host big, loud gatherings in their home. Currently, Cara is studying for her Doctor of Ministry at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
